SCRANTON, Pa. — Santa Claus is coming to Scranton this weekend for the 31st Santa Parade!
"It is the official start to the Christmas season in Downtown Scranton," Santa Parade PR Director Tom Fritz said.
The big event steps off in Downtown Scranton on Saturday morning at 9:30. Organizers say this year's parade is the biggest one yet.
"We've got 1,400 people walking in the parade and that's in addition to 108 vehicles, four marching bands, it is going to be amazing," Fritz said.
One of those groups is the Dave Ragnacci School of Dance. It's become a tradition for these dancers to participate in the Santa Parade.
