In November 2025, the Union Minister J P Nadda, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare ( MoHFW ) inaugurated AMRIT (Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment) Pharmacy’s 10th Anniversary Celebrations at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Delhi.

The MoHFW has also inaugurated 10 new AMRIT pharmacies outlets across India.

Key Highlights

Purpose: The AMRIT Pharmacies provide life-saving and essential medicines at discounts ranging from 50% to 90% , substantially bringing down treatment costs for patients, especially those from low-income backgrounds.

AMRIT 1st Outlet: The first outlet was inaugurated on 15th November 2015 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi.
