Navi Mumbai International Airport to Welcome First Passengers on Christmas Day

23 scheduled daily departures, scaling up to 34 departures from February 2026

Approximately 120 air traffic movements (ATMs) daily in the initial phase

First arrival and departure flights to be operated by IndiGo, followed by Air India Express and Akasa Air

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), will begin commercial operations on 25 December 2025. The inauguration, by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 08 October, set the stage for a carefully phased operational rollout, prioritising passenger safety, reliability, and comfort from day one. The launch will add capacity to the growing aviation needs of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
