The Federal Aviation Administration has lifted air traffic capacity limits at 40 major U.S. airports, easing travel disruptions caused by staffing issues from the recent government shutdown. The FAA made the announcement on Sunday.
A statement released by the FAA says in part, "The FAA safety team recommended the termination of the order following their detailed reviews of safety trends and the steady decline of staffing-trigger events in air traffic control facilities."
