A burglary suspect didn't get far after being surprised by the owner of the business he targeted.
Jamie Bush, owner of Jamie's Auto Repair, was spending an unaccustomed Sunday evening catching up on business when he saw a man searching his vehicle.
"The timing of it was perfect," Bush said, adding that he confronted the suspect.
Upon seeing Bush, the suspect tried to drive away in his vehicle, but the driveway was blocked by another vehicle that had just pulled in. Bush said the suspect then ran away. The suspect face-planted twice while trying to escape, Bush said.
Bush said he realized later that a gun had been taken from his vehicle.
Officers with the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office responded to a 6:17 p.m. call about the incident and brought in a K-9 unit. Capt. Ricky Madden sai
