CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot to death in Chicago's West Town neighborhood, police said.

The shooting happened on Sunday at about 3:04 a.m. in the 100 block of N. Elizabeth Street, police said.

He was identified as 28-year-old Jerrodte Shelby, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

When police arrived to the scene, they found Shelby on the ground with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said.

He was taken to Stroger hospital where he later died.

Nobody is in custody.
