The Indian Coast Guard Veterans Welfare Association (ICGVWA), registered in Chennai and operating with the motto “Service After Service,” celebrated its 8th Raising Day with events organised across multiple states on 15 November 2025. Although the Raising Day falls on 14 November, the celebrations were held a day later for the convenience of members.

In Chennai, the event was addressed by ICGVWA President Veteran N. Barthan, while in Kolkata, Port Blair, and Rudrapur (Uttarakhand), the programmes were led by Regional Heads Veteran Netai Muhuri, Veteran Muthuvel, and State Head Veteran S.P. Sahu respectively.
