"A common mistake I see is not taking charge of your own career and assuming that senior leadership is aware of your contributions or career goals. Everyone is incredibly busy, so assume nothing. You are you’re best advocate. Similarly, another mistake I see lawyers make is holding back critical ideas and thoughts. Don’t just 'phone it in.' I often say to mentees, especially women, never take a seat at the table for granted. Be engaged; meaningfully contribute."
