COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - The 52-year-old man involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a teen motorcyclist dead has been arrested.
According to a social media post from Council Bluffs Police on Monday, Jason Lee Evans turned himself in on Friday. A warrant was issued for Evans’ arrest earlier that day .
He was arrested on charges of homicide by vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, and following too closely — which was enhanced due to the death, the post states.
“The toxicology results reported that Mr. Evans was nearly four times the legal limit for alcohol and had marijuana in his system that fatal evening,” a CBPD release reads.
