PORTLAND, Ore. — A chant of "Let's go Grizzlies" broke out among the Montana faithful inside Providence Park as the Griz ran out the final minute-plus of the game clock with a trio of kneel downs on Saturday afternoon.
A chant of "F-T-C" followed moments later as UM players celebrated on the field after the clock hit all zeroes, signifying the turning of the page to the 124th Brawl of the Wild against Montana State on Saturday in Missoula.
The second-ranked Griz head into that rivalry showdown riding high after they rolled to a 63-17 beatdown of one-win Portland State. That victory increased their record to 11-0 overall and 7-0 in Big Sky Conference games.
