Agartala, 17 th November 2025: The incidence of illegal infiltration into Tripura from across the International Border (IB) has witnessed a marked reduction since June 2025, according to a statement issued by the Superintendent of Police (Police Control).

Tripura shares an 856-km international boundary with Bangladesh, making it one of the most vulnerable northeastern states to cross-border infiltration. Officials attribute the recent decline to heightened surveillance measures and a series of coordinated operations targeting border brokers and their networks.
