In a significant move in the battle against movie piracy, which has long plagued Telugu cinema, the Hyderabad city police have arrested the alleged mastermind behind the iBomma/Bappam network. According to news agency ANI , the arrested person has been identified as Ravi Emandi, a 39-year-old native of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and currently a citizen of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Following Ravi’s arrest, many film personnel, including Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi , actor Nagarjuna Akkineni, and director SS Rajamouli , stepped forward to praise the Hyderabad police for their efforts and call for stricter measures to eradicate the menace.
