A statewide rescue operation ended with 122 missing children being located, Florida's attorney general announced Monday.
Attorney General James Uthmeier said "Operation Home for the Holidays" was one of the largest child-recovery operations in American history.
The two-week operation led by the U.S. Marshals Service involved locating vulnerable youth in Central Florida and led to 57 kids in the Tampa area, 14 in the Orlando area, 22 in the Jacksonville area and 29 in the Fort Myers area being found.
The operation also led to recovering children in nine other states.
