Mangaluru: Advocate Nithin Kuttar has submitted a formal complaint to the City Police Commissioner alleging that an Inspector at the Women’s Police Station misbehaved with him while he was handling a case.

According to the complaint, the incident took place on November 15 when the advocate visited the station on behalf of a client involved in a family dispute. He has alleged that Inspector Balakrishna spoke harshly to the client, demanded that the child’s gold ornaments be produced at the station immediately, and threatened to register a case and send the client to jail if they failed to do so.

The advocate has also stated that the Inspector insulted him, addressed him disrespectfully, and warned him not to “bring any activism here”, allegedly saying he would “thrash him” if he did. Even
