Much like a pair of shoes that have worn out their use, Shoe Carnival has decided it’s time for something new. Last week, the national footwear chain announced it is changing its company name to Shoe Station.
The company’s board of directors approved the name change on a corporate level and are now asking for shareholders to agree. Shareholders will be asked to vote on the name change during the company’s annual shareholder meeting in June 2026.
Shoe Carnival acquired the Shoe Station brand for $67 million in 2021 and has been merging them since. So far in 2025, sales at Shoe Station stores are up 5.3%, while sales at Shoe Carnival locations are down 5.2%.
