A Clifton restaurant who gives away thousands of free Thanksgiving meals every year is going the extra mile this year.

Good Plates Eatery and Cincinnati Animal CARE are teaming up this year for a Thanksgiving mean distribution event that ensures both people and their pets can share in the holiday spirit. Advertisement

This year will mark the sixth that Good Plates Eatery holds a free, no questions asked Thanksgiving meal and coat drive at its restaurant in Clifton Heights. Last year, they served more than 3,000 community members .

Joining Good Plates Eatery in their efforts this year is Cincinnati Animal CARE with a new initiative, "A Feast For Every Friend." The goal is to raise $5,000 to provide dog-friendly Thanksgiving meals for those picking up food at Good Plates,
