CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - A man was killed in a shooting in Champaign Sunday night.

Champaign police were called to the 3700 block of Colleen Dr. just after 6:00 for a shooting.

They found a 24-year-old Champaign man with multiple injuries. He was rushed to the hospital but did not survive.

Police said he was shot after leaving his apartment.

An investigation into the homicide is underway.
