UPDATE: Online court records show a judge sentenced Christopher Shane to serve five years of probation. If he violates the terms of that probation he will be ordered to serve five years in prison.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Two men accused of tearing utility cables from a Kansas City manhole and causing possible disruptions to emergency services have been charged and remain behind bars.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Monday, May 12, indicate that Christopher J. Shane, 54, and David N. Raisbeck, 46, of Independence, have been charged with the theft of copper wire from a Kansas City manhole.
