Manchester United may have to play the long game in their pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson .
The 23-year-old midfielder is only in his second season with Forest - he moved south from Newcastle for £15million in July 2024 - but has caught the eye of some top clubs with his performances in the Premier League.
He has become an England regular, too, starting five of the Three Lions’ last six matches since being handed his debut by Thomas Tuchel in September.
Manchester United and Newcastle are known to be interested in securing Anderson’s services as both look to bolster their midfield options, with interest from Champions League sides also expected.
No club will be able to pry him away from the City Ground any time soon, though.
