GREENSBORO, N.C. — One of the Triad’s biggest holiday sports traditions is getting a new name. The long-running HAECO Invitational — known for decades as a staple of Greensboro high school basketball — will now be called the AAR Invitational.

The change comes after AAR CORP. announced earlier this month that it purchased HAECO Americas. Despite the new branding, tournament organizers say the event itself isn’t changing.

The 49th AAR Invitational is set for Dec. 18-20, 2025 at the Novant Health Fieldhouse and Special Events Center at the Greensboro Complex. This year’s lineup includes Bishop McGuinness, Dudley, Greensboro Day, Grimsley, Northern Guilford, Page, Southeast Guilford and Wesleyan — with Northern and Wesleyan returning after time away.
