The Tamil Nadu government on Monday issued a blunt warning to its staff: fail to report for Special Intensive Revision (SIR) duty on Tuesday, and your pay will be withheld.

The directive comes amid growing resistance from revenue department employees, who have announced a boycott of the SIR process citing what they describe as an “unmanageable” workload.
