ELMORE COUNTY, Idaho — An early morning crash along Interstate 84 resulted in a death on Monday, Nov. 17.

According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), around 1:20 a.m. on the 17th, a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 was driving on I-84, in the wrong direction. The driver was going east in the westbound lane of travel.

Around mile marker 102, ISP reports that the Dodge Ram then collided head-on with a semi-truck that was going west. ISP adds that after the collision, both vehicles "were engulfed in flames."

The Dodge driver was a 35-year-old man from McGregor, Texas. He died from his injuries at the scene of the crash. This driver may be identified at a later date, pending work by the coroner.
