COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Police in Cobb County say they're looking for a "newer-model Silverado" in a serious weekend hit-and-run.

The Cobb County Police said that a pedestrian was hit on South Cobb Drive near Waldrep Circle on Saturday a little after 7 p.m.

The man was outside a crosswalk at the time; he was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries. According to police, the Silverado hit the pedestrian and then "continued northhbound and fled the scene following the impact."

Police believe the Silverado would have noticeable front-end damage, particularly to its grill area.
