The trial of the last century continues into this century.
Three decades after O.J. Simpson was tried and acquitted of murder, his estate has accepted a multimillion-dollar claim from Fred Goldman , the father of victim Ron Goldman, PEOPLE reports.
Ron was killed in 1994 at the age of 25 alongside Simpson’s estranged wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, 35.
As the result of a wrongful death civil suit filed in 1995, O.J. was ordered to pay the Goldman and Brown families more than $33 million but the football player’s estate has paid out almost nothing, Goldman’s ex-attorney told the outlet.
As of July 2024, the creditor claim submitted Goldman was for the amount of $57,997,858.12, “plus judgment interest on the approved amount,” per the paperwork obtained by PEOPLE.
