SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Utes rolled through Baylor over the weekend, leaning on a dominant rushing attack and true freshman QB Byrd Ficklin for repeated big plays.

Utah traveled to Waco, Texas, and thrashed the helpless Baylor Bears 55-28. The win improved the Utes to 8-2 and 5-2 in Big 12 play with two games left in the regular season.

Ficklin was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the second time after setting a career-high with 166 rushing yards on only six carries. The speedster broke off touchdown runs of 67 and 74 yards while becoming the first Ute to tally 145 rushing yards on ten or fewer
