"I am girl who loves my island." Walt Disney Animation Studios released the first trailer for the live-action reimagining of the beloved movie, "Moana."
The trailer offers a first look at the adventure starring Catherine Laga'aia as Moana and Dwayne Johnson, who returns in his role as the trickster demigod Maui. It also shows off Laga'aia's singing skills who belts out the song "I Am Moana."
Joining Johnson and Laga'aia in the live-action film is John Tui as Moana's no-nonsense father, Chief Tui. Also in the cast is Frankie Adams, who portrays Moana's playful and strong-willed mother, Sina. Rena Owen taps in as Moana's Gramma Tala.
The Disney film is directed by Emmy and Tony Award winner Thomas Kail. It's produced by Dwayne Johnson, Beau Flynn, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Lin-Manuel
