LSU linebacker Whit Weeks has now missed four consecutive games with the bone bruise that he first suffered in his ankle late in a Sept. 27 loss to Ole Miss.
Will the star junior try to play on Saturday against Western Kentucky? Or on the road at Oklahoma in the Tigers’ regular-season finale?
“I sure hope he would,” interim coach Frank Wilson said on Monday.
LSU listed Weeks as questionable to play against the Razorbacks on the availability reports it released on Wednesday and Thursday. Wilson then said he’d be given a game-time designation on Saturday, but he was instead ruled out of the action on Friday.
This season, Weeks has appeared in only six games, and he’s played a full share of snaps in just five. In LSU’s Week 3 win over Florida, he was flagged for targeting and ejected
