Police said officers responded on Oct. 5 to the fentanyl overdose and poisoning death of 28-year-old Jacob Massi of Hammond. Following an investigation by the Hammond Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Fentanyl Overdose Response Team, detectives identified Christopher Harrison, 34, of Hammond, as the suspect who allegedly sold heroin containing fentanyl that led to Massi’s death.
On Nov. 13, an undercover agent arranged a controlled purchase of heroin from Harrison, police said.
