Thomas Tuchel says he plans to contact as many as 60 England hopefuls - including Trent Alexander-Arnold - to offer ‘honest feedback’ before selecting his final World Cup squad.

Tuchel’s Three Lions went unbeaten in qualifying for next summer’s tournament , without conceding a goal. They capped the campaign with a 2-0 defeat of Albania in Tirana on Sunday night.

Speaking at full-time, Tuchel outlined his plan to contact every player on his World Cup squad longlist, also suggesting that he could personally visit Alexander-Arnold in Madrid.

The defender has struggled for minutes since moving to Real Madrid, due in part to injury, and was replaced in the squad by Jarell Quansah in November.
