BOSTON — AT&T has rolled out upgrades to 350 cellular sites across the commonwealth.
Sites receiving the upgrades include 140 locations in Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape and Islands, 94 in Greater Boston, 50 in Western Massachusetts and others throughout Central Massachusetts and the South Shore.
AT&T said in a statement Monday that the improvements will boost download speeds by up to 80%. Additionally, the upgrades will speed up and make 5G performance more consistent; make for stronger connections indoors and in rural areas; and adds capacity for streaming, gaming and smart devices, even if used at the same time.
