Hyrule, here we come. On November 17, Nintendo visionary Shigeru Miyamoto shared the three first images of the upcoming The Legend of Zelda live-action film, which he is producing alongside former Marvel Studios CEO Avi Arad.
In these first looks, Bo Bragason (yup, not Hunter Schafer ) sports elf ears and a bow and arrow as Princess Zelda while Benjamin Evan Ainsworth looks stoic as Link. “Filming is on track for the film’s release on May 7, 2027,” Miyamoto confirmed via Nintendo’s X account. “It will take a while until the release, so we would be grateful if you would wait patiently and look forward to it.”
Although Miyamoto did not name the “lush, natural setting” that serves as the backdrop for these pics, a production listing suggests that filming began in Wellington, New Z
