NEWARK — A gunman sprayed Chancellor Avenue with bullets on Saturday night, killing a 21-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy, and injuring three other people, police said. The gunman remains at large.

The three wounded victims are an 11-year-old boy and two men, ages 19 and 60, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed. They were listed in stable condition at University Hospital in Newark.

Authorities say a gunman sprayed the 300 block of Chancellor Avenue near Leslie Street with a rapid-fire burst of bullets at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov 15th. Detectives reportedly collected 17 or more shell casings as evidence from that intersection.
