Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], November 18 (ANI): The president of World Boxing, Boris van der Vorst, has expressed happiness with the formation of the new governing body for the sport across the world and its recognition by International Olympic Committee (IOC), terming it "one of the biggest comeback stories" in the Olympic movement.

Boris was speaking to ANI at the World Boxing Cup finals, which are taking place at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. World Boxing was formed back in April 2023. The International Boxing Association (IBA) had run into trouble with the IOC and was suspended in 2019 due to issues surrounding governance and finances.
