GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCSC) - A 23-year-old man will spend more than a decade in prison after admitting to shooting and killing a teenager during a Goose Creek incident more than three years ago.
Aquan Grier was sentenced to 15 years in prison, with credit for 1,124 days already served. The sentencing brought closure to a case that changed the lives of two families forever.
The incident
On Sept. 22, 2022, Grier shot and killed 17-year-old Sir James Robinson during an exchange at a Taco Bell. Surveillance video shows Grier walking up to Robinson’s car and handing over a bag of marijuana, but not getting paid, according to attorneys.
