CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Clarksburg man has been sentenced to prison for 3 to 30 years for felony witness intimidation and two felony shoplifting counts, according to the Harrison County Prosecutor’s office.
Harrison Chief Judge Christopher J. McCarthy sentenced Michael Quentin Hawkins, 45, on Monday, Assistant Prosecutor James Armstrong confirmed for Prosecutor Rachel Romano.
Hawkins was accused of threatening a man in a video and a message related to the witness intimidation charge. The shoplifting charges stemmed from Hawkins allegedly shoplifting nine times over a 32-day period.
Clarksburg Police Officer C.J. Purkey and Sgt. Laura McGlone had lodged the felony shoplifting counts. Officer Purkey also investigated the witness intimidation case.
