A Fresno man was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison Monday for sexually exploiting a minor, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.
Peter Yang, 34, also will serve 15 years of supervised release, during which his access to children, computers, and the internet will be restricted. He was ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution and must register as a sex offender upon release.
According to court documents, between November 2021 and March 2022, Yang communicated with a 15-year-old in Missouri through the gaming platform Among Us, then via Discord and FaceTime.
He coerced the victim into creating and sending sexually explicit images and discussed traveling from California to Missouri to meet the child at a motel.
