Stuttgart, 1911: “Here is a picture of our shack with only part of the force. Weather is damp and disagreeable, business rather dull.” Robinson and Co. was set up to service area rice farms and saw mills, especially the engine driven pumps that drew up the ground water needed to flood the rice fields.
