Just months after the completion of the yearlong intersection-widening project at Eisenhower Boulevard (U.S. 34) and Taft Avenue, the next phase of improvements along the busy corridor is about to begin.

During the first week of December, Loveland Utilities will launch an infrastructure project that will close Taft Avenue between 18th and 29th streets for up to six months.

“They feel like this is the time to do it,” said Loveland Utilities Public Information Officer Tracey Hewson. “…We could not do it in conjunction with the last project, because we didn’t have the funding. So now that the funding is there, and we’re doing the second leg of the project.”
