LEXINGTON, S.C. (WIS) - A Lexington School District Four employee has been charged after allegedly bringing a loaded weapon into a school.
Andrea Brooks, 43, a school cafeteria employee at Sandhills Middle School, was arrested and charged Monday for allegedly bringing a loaded firearm to the middle school and leaving it in the bathroom.
A school resource officer reportedly found the weapon in the bathroom after being notified that a district employee had discovered it.
“The school resource officer was notified after a district employee told school administrators they discovered a firearm in one of the employee bathrooms,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a statement. “Brooks admitted to leaving the firearm in the bathroom after realizing he still had it on him.”
