The Cleveland Browns are facing criticism after rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders took his first NFL snaps Sunday without having practiced with the first-team offense.
Sanders replaced starter and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel in the third quarter after Gabriel suffered a concussion in the Browns’ 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Sanders completed four of 16 passes for 47 yards and an interception. Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said after the game that Sanders had never taken a snap with the starters in practice.
ESPN Cleveland radio host Tony Grossi said the quarterback situation is bad enough for owner Jimmy Haslam to clean house at the end of the season.
