The Exploris One returned to France ahead of being sold off as part of Exploris Expeditions & Cruises’ liquidation.
After spending over a month in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain, the vessel arrived at the port of Caen over the weekend.
According to Mer et Marine , legal proceedings for the sale of the former Silver Explorer are already underway.
The ship will be sold as part of the liquidation process of Exploris, which was ruled by the Nantes Commercial Court earlier this month .
A call for tenders was reportedly launched on Nov. 10, 2025. Potential buyers were able to inspect the 1989-built vessel in Caen before placing an offer.
Sale proceeds will go to paying down Exploris’ debts, which include its former banking and financial partners.
