MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, MI — A woman called police Monday afternoon after finding a female relative severely injured and bleeding.
Muskegon Heights Police and Fire, along with Trinity Health EMS responded to the scene, in the 2300 block of Hoyt Street, at around 2:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers pronounced the victim deceased.
The victim’s age and name have not been released at this time.
As of 5:20 p.m., detectives are still actively working the scene and speaking with family members and witnesses, according to a news release from the Muskegon Heights Police Department.
Detectives from the Michigan State Police are also assisting on the scene.
There is no further information available at this time as to what may have led to the woman’s death.
