WILMINGTON — Highmark launched (un)Hungry, to raise awareness and complement existing food and monetary donations during the holiday season. The campaign benefits 15 food partners across local states, including the Food Bank of Delaware.
After months of planning, the (un)Hungry initiative finally began with a volunteer event at Highmark’s Wilmington office where Highmark team members packed dozens of backpacks filled with nutritious food, which will be donated by the Food Bank of Delaware to local kids in need.
“Food insecurity is a pervasive challenge that impacts the health and well-being of our communities, and Highmark has been actively addressing this challenge for years,” Kenya T. Boswell, senior vice president of Community Affairs for Highmark Health and President of the Highma
