Michael Porter Jr. scored a season-high 34 points and Tyrese Martin added a campaign-best 20 off the bench, lifting the visiting Brooklyn Nets to a 129-106 victory over the reeling Washington Wizards on Sunday.
Porter, who also had nine rebounds and seven assists, made 11 of 18 shots from the floor and 9 of 10 from the free-throw line. He eclipsed his previous season high of 32 points, set on two occasions.
Brooklyn snapped a four-game losing skid due in large part to Porter and the unexpected scoring surge by Martin, who entered the contest averaging just 6.3 points per game.
Nic Claxton collected 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four blocks for the Nets, who shot a blistering 53.2% from the floor and 41.5% from 3-point range. They also held a 44-33 edge in rebounds.
