A 25-year-old Connecticut man has been arrested and charged with an attack that left two people hospitalized with stab wounds, authorities said.

Stanley Santana is accused of the Sunday, Nov. 16, stabbing of two adults inside a home on Margaret Circle in Naugatuck, police said.

Naugatuck police were called to the home around 10:30 p.m. and found the victims suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics rushed them to an area hospital with serious injuries. Doctors say their condition is now stable.

Police found Santana on New Haven Road, a short distance from the stabbing. Officers arrested him without incident and recovered the knife used in the attack, Naugatuck authorities said.

Santana faces several charges, including assault in the first degree, carrying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct. He is being held on a $750,000 bond, police said.
