Strong, smart and bold — these are the qualities that Girls Inc. of Hamblen County tries to grow when their charges walk through the doors.
At their Celebration of Women banquet, Executive Director Amy Register spoke about the evening, her first as a staff member.
““This was my first year at Girls Inc. and my first time doing a celebration, and I thought it went great,” she said. “We had a lot of new people from our community at Celebration this year, and it was beautiful to see everybody come together to support Girls Inc., socialize, spend time with their friends, and just have a good time.”A video played at the banquet reported 105 girls had participated in their summer program and they had 94 girls in their afterschool program. They go on field trips and learn new skills in education
