Once again, the Oak Street Po-Boy Fest turned its namesake street into a playground of different po-boy possibilities on Nov. 16, with classics served alongside some wild flights of local culinary imagination.

More than 40 vendors lining the street represented local restaurants, food trucks, caterers and others. Some served po-boys in line with their own specialized niches, with barbecue, seafood or vegan po-boys, while others used the festival to stretch their wings and get creative.

In the end, Oak Street itself was well represented in the winners’ circle. Ajun Cajun, a restaurant that closed over the summer but continues to take part in festivals and events, won big, while a mix of newcomers, perennial, festival favorites, and a pair of organizations that aren’t even restaurants t
