Tekashi 6ix9ine's home in Florida was reportedly robbed on Sunday night, 16 November.
According to a statement shared with Rolling Stone by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to a 911 call in response to a "home invasion robbery/burglary in progress" just before 10pm local time.
There, they spoke with "several individuals, who reported that four armed, masked men had entered the house with handguns".
Tekashi, real name Daniel Hernandez, was not home at the time as he was doing a livestream with YouTuber Jack Doherty.
The alleged incident took place while the rapper was offered a rare reprieve from a current house arrest sentence following another probation violation
The Trollz rapper addressed the incident in a video shared on Instagram Stories.
"I guess people saw that I was on a livestream with Jack Doherty. They took that opportunity to f**king do some p**sy s**t. Like I said, it's me, I get it. The rules are different for me. But if it was your favourite artist or your favourite actor, and that was done, they don't get no cool points for that."
Witnesses also told the police that the robbers had "held" Tekashi's mother while the other suspects "ran inside and ransacked the property" and "asked for cash and car keys". Surveillance footage obtained by TMZ shows several masked people wandering around Tekashi's house and watching over his mother.
It's unclear what, if any items, were taken during the burglary. The police said a "K-9 track and search of residence was conducted with negative results", adding that the suspects likely "left in a vehicle prior to deputies arrival".
Police have not yet identified any suspects or made any arrests.
