RCMP say one man has died and two teenagers were sent to hospital after consuming a liquid substance on Sunday.
On Sunday around 12:40 a.m., God’s Lake Narrows RCMP received a report from a First Nation Safety Officer that a 20-year-old man was brought to a Nursing Station for medical care after he consumed multiple drinks of a liquid substance, according to a Monday RCMP media release.
Police said when officers arrived at the nursing station a large crowd of people had gathered, and it was confirmed that the 20-year-old man had died.
Two teenage males, ages 15 and 17, who police said had also consumed the substance, were in medical distress and were flown to Winnipeg for treatment, police said. God's Lake Narrows is located about 540 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
