Five children with disabilities received adaptive mobility vehicles on Monday, Nov. 17 at Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV on Maple Street in Grove City, PA. The vehicles included 4 adaptive strollers and one adaptive bike that accommodates riders with disabilities.
The items were donated by Variety - A Children's Charity, a non-profit organization focused on the well-being of sick, disadvantaged, and disabled children.
"They really enable kids to live life to the fullest, to go into their community, to ride bikes with their siblings, to ride bikes with their neighbors," said Variety CEO Tom Baker.
Variety has donated over 500 adaptive bikes, adaptive strollers, and communication devices to children in Mercer, Butler, and Lawrence counties valued at more than $800,000. The organization o
